"Rahul Gandhi should apologise": Chhattisgarh Deputy CM on 'derogatory' remarks against PM Modi at INDIA bloc event in Bihar

New Delhi [India], August 29 (ANI): Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma on Friday slammed the Congress for the alleged derogatory remarks made against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his late mother at an India bloc event in Bihar, saying that Rahul Gandhi should apologise. He also called the incident an insult to the state of Bihar.

While talking to ANI, Sharma said, It seems that this incident happened with everyone knowledge. It is an insult to Bihar... Rahul Gandhi should apologise for it.

Earlier, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress workers clashed in Patna over the alleged derogatory remarks during the Congress Voter Adhikar Yatra in Bihar Darbhanga on Thursday.

Stones were pelted as the BJP staged a protest in front of the Congress office in Patna.

Bihar Minister and BJP leader Nitin Nabin stated that the public will give a befitting reply to Congress.

Nabin told ANI, Every son of Bihar will give a befitting reply to Congress for insulting a mother. We will take revenge for this.

While Congress worker Ashutosh slammed Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, claiming that the clash happened with the government involvement.

Earlier today, Darbhanga Police arrested the man accused of hurling abuses against PM Modi.

Superintendent of Police Ashok Kumar Chaudhary stated that a case has been registered and action will be taken against those found to be involved.
