Begusarai (Bihar) [India], September 18 (ANI): Union Minister Giriraj Singh on Thursday hit out at Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Yadav over his Bihar Adhikar Yatra, claiming it is a desperate attempt to safeguard his political future, adding that the former Deputy Chief Minister was unaware about his political existence being in danger when he was campaigning alongside Rahul Gandhi during Voter Adhikar Yatra.

They are searching for their own existence. When they were doing yatra with Rahul Gandhi, they didnt even realise that their political existence was in danger, Singh told ANI in Begusarai.

On September 16, Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Yadav launched the Adhikar Yatra against youth unemployment, and called for ensuring the rights of women, respect for teachers and bettering the health and education system in Bihar.

According to RJD MP Sanjay Yadav, the rally is being carried out in the districts which were not covered in the Voter Adhikar Yatra organised by Congress Rahul Gandhi, in which the RJD had also participated.

Ahead of launching the Yatra, Tejashwi Yadav said that they will form a corruption-free, crime-free government when they come to power.

After the completion of the Voter Adhikar Yatra, the remaining districts that were left were Jehanabad, Begusarai, Khagaria, and Madhepura. So to cover these districts, we have set out on the Bihar Adhikar Yatra so that we can reach out to everyone with a new resolution to build a new Bihar, a developed Bihar. This journey is not only Tejashwi journey; it is the journey of the unemployed youth, he said.

Bihar is set to witness an electoral battle between the incumbent National Democratic Alliance (NDA), led by Nitish Kumar in the state, while the INDIA bloc, including the Congress and RJD, look to unseat Kumar.
