Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India], July 8 (ANI): A cloudburt wa reported near Mukh village, cloe to Nandprayag Ghat in Chamoli ditrict of Uttarakhand, State Diater Repone Force (SDRF) aid on Tueday.
No lo of life ha been reported o far and an SDRF team ha been ent to the location to ae the ituation.
On Sunday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) iued an alert of heavy rainfall in Uttarakhand for the next four day.
Heavy rainfall wa expected in ditrict including Uttarkahi, Tehri, Bagehwar, Dehradun, and Rudraprayag.
The State Emergency Operation Centre (SEOC) in Uttarakhand alo iued a high-alert landlide warning for four ditrict Tehri, Uttarkahi, Rudraprayag, and Chamoli.
The alert, dated July 6, warned of potential landlide on July 7 and 8 in everal ubdiviion, including Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Ukhimath, Ghanali, Narendra Nagar, Dhanaulti, Dunda, and Chinyaliaur.
A bridge at Ojri on the national highway leading to Yamunotri in Uttarkahi ditrict wa wahed away due to heavy rainfall in the region on Monday, official aid.
Heavy rainfall in Rudraprayag and adjacent area of increaed the water flow in the Alaknanda River. However, even after the heavy rainfall and increaed water flow, the river i till flowing below the danger mark.
