"100% sure that BJP will win here": BJP's candidate Anand Mishra, says "will build new Buxar"

Patna (Bihar) [India], October 15 (ANI): BJP candidate from Buxar assembly constituency Anand Mishra on Wednesday expressed gratitude to the party leadership after being declared as the candidate from the seat and exuded confidence in the party victory from the seat.

In a tele conversation with ANI, Mishra resolved to build a new Buxar and stated that he is 100 per cent sure that the BJP will win the seat.

He said, For me, this is a moment of humility that the party placed its trust in me. and gave me a responsibility. Together with the help of all workers, local leaders and NDA leaders, I will start making an effort to build a new Buxar. I am sure that this is going to be a ground moment. This will not just be an election but it will be with people participation...I am very confident about the victory of my party. Our organisation will get to it very strongly. We are 100 sure that we will win here.

Mishra, who was earlier part of Prashant Kishor Jan Suraaj, stated that joining Jan Suraaj was a wrong step and it has become like a scar for him now.

The former IPS officer told ANI, That (joining Jan Suraaj initially) was a wrong step taken by me. It has become like a scar for me now. It suffocates me when people ask me about my time there.

Mishra also spoke about Kishor decision not to contest the Bihar Assembly polls and said the latter is playing the role of a consultant for the party. He also extended best wishes to him, saying that if someone does something he is built for, he will always excel.

The BJP candidate asserted, I knew this from the beginning. I always knew that this will never happen. He is playing his role as a consultant for Jan Suraaj. It is good. If someone does something he is built for, he will always excel. My best wishes with him.

Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor announced on Wednesday that he will not contest the upcoming Bihar assembly elections.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday released the second list of 12 candidates for the forthcoming Bihar Assembly elections, taking the total tally of declared candidates to 83 out of 101 seats allotted to the party in the final seat-sharing distribution within the NDA.

According to the list released by the party, folk singer Maithili Thakur will contest elections from the Alinagar constituency of Darbhanga, while former IPS officer Anand Mishra has been fielded from the Buxar constituency.

Mishra was earlier part of Prashant Kishor Jan Suraaj and had led the party Youth Wing as president.

According to the list released, Ram Chandra Prasad has been fielded from Hayaghat, Ranjan Kumar from Muzaffarpur, Subhash Singh from Gopalganj, Kedar Nath Singh from Baniapur, Chhoti Kumari from Chapra, Vinay Kumar Singh from Sonepur, Birendra Kumar from Rosera, Siyaram Singh from Barh, Mahesh Paswan from Agiaon and Rakesh Ojha from Shahpur.

The party had already declared its candidate in the other 71 seats on Tuesday.

While the NDA has decided on seat distribution among its constituents for the Bihar polls, the Mahagathbandhan is yet to do so. The Election Commission issued a notification on Monday for the second phase of the state assembly polls.

The polling for the 243-seat Assembly is scheduled to be held on November 6 and November 11, with counting set for November 14. (ANI)
