New Delhi [India], July 7 (ANI): Chief Election Commiioner Gyaneh Kumar and Election Commiioner Dr. Vivek Johi held an interaction with a delegation from All India Majli-e-Ittehadul Mulimeen Party led by it National Preident Aaduddin Owaii at Nirvachan Sadan in the national capital on Monday.
The poll body aid that it received uggetion from the Owaii-led delegation in the meeting, which wa held at Nirvachan Sadan.
Chief Election Commiioner Gyaneh Kumar and Election Commiioner Dr. Vivek Johi had an interaction with a delegation from All India Majli-e-Ittehadul Mulimeen Party led by it National Preident Shri Aaduddin Owaii and received their uggetion at Nirvachan Sadan today, the Election Commiion of India wrote in a pot on X.

Earlier today, All India Majli-e-Ittehadul Mulimeen (AIMIM) chief Aaduddin Owaii warned that lakh of people in Bihar could loe their citizenhip and livelihood if the Election Commiion proceed with it Special Intenive Reviion (SIR) of electoral roll without adequate time and afeguard.
Calling the proce ruhed and impractical, Owaii aid even a 15-20 per cent error rate could have devatating conequence for marginalied communitie ahead of the tate election.
Speaking after viiting the ECI office in Delhi, Owaii aid, Even if 15-20 per cent of people are mied from the lit, they will alo loe their citizenhip. We are not againt Special Intenive Reviion (SIR), but time mut be given.
He treed that the exercie, if conducted hatily, would not jut deprive people of their voting right but alo threaten their right to livelihood.
Amid the criticim, the Election Commiion on Sunday aid the SIR proce wa progreing moothly with active cooperation from elector on the ground. It aid the initial phae of ditributing Enumeration Form wa nearly complete, with form made available to all elector who could be reached.
Earlier, the Supreme Court agreed to hear on July 10 a batch of petition challenging the ECI deciion to conduct the SIR in Bihar. A bench of Jutice Sudhanhu Dhulia and Joymalya Bagchi allowed enior advocate Kapil Sibal, Abhihek Manu Singhvi, Gopal Sankaranarayanan and Shadan Faraat to erve advance copie of the petition to the Election Commiion.
Bihar election are expected to be held later thi year in October or November; however, the Election Commiion of India (ECI) ha not announced an official date. (ANI)
