New Delhi [India], July 20 (ANI): Shiv Sena MP Dhairyasheel Sambhajirao Mane on Sunday launched a sharp attack on the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of failing to prioritise the nation and claiming that he sees only Prime Minister Modi in his dreams.
Rahul Gandhi can see only PM Modi in his dreams. He has never prioritised the country above all else. Perhaps due to that, Pakistan nefarious designs gain strength, Mane said. He is the LoP. He should understand that when the country is under attack, it must unite and work together. But unfortunately, the LoP says things like that. You know Trump...only he would be able to say what jets he was talking about.
Speaking about the upcoming Monsoon session of Parliament, Mane said, This is the first Parliament session after the war. People across the country, as well as the world, are looking forward to this session with great hope that they will see what policy India intends to form in the time to come. Productive discussions will certainly be held. But perhaps, the first issue of this session would be the wound inflicted on us by Pakistan and the response by India.
Referring to the virtual meeting of the INDIA bloc held on Saturday, Mane said, Whether there was a diplomatic failure or success is something that you would get to know tomorrow. India is respected globally today. The manner in which India retaliated, for the first time, was to destroy their bases by crossing over to that side. This will be told to the nation tomorrow by the ministers. How is the nation going forward? More than the conflict, we are concerned about progress. While making progress, if anyone tries to play with our national security, they would be given a befitting reply...Perhaps the Prime Minister too would speak on this in the time to come.
On the ongoing Hindi-Marathi language row, Mane said all languages should be respected.
Be it any language, it should be respected. Every state places their mother tongue first. But nobody has the right to disrespect any other language. It is the responsibility of everyone to uphold the honour of language and countrymen. People of Maharashtra live in harmony with everyone. One matter is being politicised...This is wrong... he added.
The monsoon session is set to begin on July 21 and will continue till August 21. The government is expected to table a packed legislative agenda, with multiple bills listed for discussion and passage.
Some of the key bills include -- Manipur Goods and Services Tax (Amendment) Bill of 2025, Taxation Laws (Amendment) Bill of 2025, Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Bill 2025, the Indian Institutes of Management (Amendment) bill 2025, the Geoheritage Sites and Geo-relics (Preservation and Maintenance) bill 2025, the Mines and Mines (Development and Regulation) Amendment Bill 2025, the National Sports Governance Bill 2025 and the National Anti-Doping (Amendment) Bill 2025.
Also on the agenda are the Readjustment of Representation of Scheduled Tribes in Assembly Constituencies of the State of Goa Bill, 2024, the Merchant Shipping Bill, 2024, the Indian Ports Bill, 2025, and the Income Tax Bill, 2025.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will brief the media on Monday, just before the commencement of the first day of the Monsoon Parliament session, according to an official statement. (ANI)
