Delhi:

There’s no denying the fact that we live in an era that is being ruled by social media and cell phones. The fear of missing out is such that cell phones have become an extension of ourselves and we stay glued to it most part of the day. Recently, legendary playback singer Asha Bhosle also highlighted this modern trend and made a hilarious sarcastic comment to emphasise her point.

She posted a picture on her Twitter account where she is seen sitting with Sudesh Bhosle and three other men in a room but none of them are talking to each other. Instead, all the other four men are busy with their phones, while Asha has her hands free, clasped to one another. She captioned the post saying, "Bagdogra to Kolkata... Such good company but still, no one to talk to. Thank you Alexander Graham Bell."

Her take on this is that it's such good company and yet there's nobody to talk to. And the one she is clearly joking about is none other than Alexander Graham Bell, who invented telephone.

There's a lot of reaction to Asha Bhosle's tweet, with people coming out and underscoring her point:

Asha Bhosle was last seen at Priyanka Chopra-Nick Jonas reception. At the event, the singer was spotted posing with Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. Videos of Deepika and Ranveer warmly receiving Asha as she arrived for the reception had gone viral.
