New Delhi:

Aam Aadmi Party’s leader Raghav Chadha recently assumed the office as Vice Chairman of Delhi Jal Board. A video has surfaced on the internet where he could be seen removing towel from his chair before sitting down. No, it was not because of any superstition but it was a mere rejection of VIP culture.

Take a look at the video below:

The short clip was shared by ‘AAP In News’ on Twitter which generally provides all the updates about the political party. It was captioned "Delhi Jal Board Vice Chairman @raghav_chadha removes towel (a symbol of VIP culture) from his chair as soon as he assumes his office’’.

Raghav Chadha won from Rajinder Nagar constituency in the recent Delhi Assembly elections by over 20,000 votes. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government on Monday appointed first-time MLA Raghav Chadha as vice-chairman of the Delhi Jal Board (DJB).

Burari MLA Sanjeev Jha and Deoli MLA Prakash Jarwal were appointed as DJB members. Urban Development Minister Satyendar Jain is the chairman of the board. Chadha, a chartered accountant, defeated BJP veteran RP Singh and Congress's Rocky Tuseed in the February 8 assembly polls.

In December last year, the Delhi government and the Centre traded allegations over the national capital's water quality after Union Consumer Affairs Minister Ram Vilas Paswan released a Bureau of India Standards report that said water samples collected from the city failed on most parameters.
