Let’s just say this Canadian woman literally received the shock of her life after she received a stun gun, by the way, which she never ordered. The woman now identified as Jacynthe Cardin had ordered cat food for her pet cat, when for some unknown reason, the giant E-commerce company, Amazon sent her an illegal stun gun and pepper spray instead. On discovering the illegal items, which are prohibited in Canada, Cardin reported that she returned the items to the Montreal police.
Regarding the plunder that caused a furore, Amazon have said that the "unfortunate incident" was the result of a bar-code scanning error and will try to fix it as soon as possible.
BBC also reports that they will be sending the cat food for Cardin’s pet cat, George Michael.

"This was an unfortunate incident and we are taking this matter very seriously to ensure it doesn't happen again," an Amazon spokesperson said in a statement.
Ms Cardin said she did not know what to do when the package arrived. It was sitting on her doorstep and anyone could have taken it.
"I just took another look at the box to be sure it's my package, but it's my name on it and my address," she told CTV News.
Both pepper spray and stun guns are considered prohibited weapons in Canada, which means it is illegal to carry them.
Amazon stated a warehouse employee in the US could have put an incorrect label on the box and added: "We will continue to work directly with the customer to resolve this incident’’ Amazon added.
