AirPods are one of the most favoured possession for music junkies and there’s nothing like finding they like litter on the road. While stumbling on cash, coins, pen drives and jewellery on the streets or inside a shopping mall is common, finding deserted Airpods is not a regular phenomenon. This is exactly what happened to the commoners of San Fransisco.
Folks were finding abandoned AirPods at various places in the city recently. But their golden chance turned to a farce as soon as they found out that it was just a mere prank pulled on them. These AirPods were not real. They were just life-sized stickers of the real thing. Surorisngly, the 3D stickers looked so real they anyone can fall for the trap.
Art director Pablo Rochat managed to prank hundreds of people by strategically placing life-sized AirPods at various places in San Francisco. If that's not 'evil' enough, he even filmed their reactions.
In the viral video, a man can be seen trying to pick up an AirPod placed on a staircase. When he realises it's not real, he smiles and even takes a picture of it.
Pablo also gave people the option to print their own AirPod stickers from his website. While many social media users called the prank ‘cruel’ and dubbed it 'not funny', some said it was creative and deserved more appreciation.
I made life-size AirPod stickers and stuck them on the ground, all over the city,” Pablo wrote on Twitter
