Burger King and McDonalds, two of the fastest growing food chains, and their constant arch rivalry continue to amaze us with their ever brilliant disses and pranks on the platter. From Burger King’s creative tagline that says "You don’t go to a clown, you come to a king" to capitalising the popularity of clown Halloween costumes on Halloween night, their feuds are creative as it is funny.
This time Burger King has, once again with their ‘thinking cap’, laid out a scheming campaign against MacDonald’s. Their scheme aimed at having customers believe that they will get a McDonald's Whopper sandwich for a mere 1¢.

As the start of the cruel prank, Burger King under a blurred-out photo of the Golden Arches of MacDonald’s can be seen with the hand of Burger King himself adding the letter "W" in the word ‘served’ that translates to ‘Billions Swerved’.
And that is just the beginning of the joke, the real prank, "The Whopper Detour" campaign, however, perimeters at the 14,000 McDonald's locations across the US from the new BK app. And this is how it worked- Once a customer steps inside a McDonald's restaurant, the app unlocks a Whopper sandwich for a penny. And after the customer places the order, the user will be directed to the surrounding 600-foot Burger King restaurant for pick-up. The trick of the trick is, the offer unlocks only when a customer is within the required radius of a McDonald's restaurant.
