A regular hi and bye greeting took a dark turn on Sunday when a Bangalore man was stabbed for refusing a hug from his friend because of his bad breath. According to reports, the unusual ‘heat of the moment’ occurred around 11.45pm in Mavalli near Kalasipalyam when two friends Shoaib and Nabi stumbled upon each other when Nabi allegedly tried to hug Shoaib, who, however denied the hug citing his bad breath.
The supposed-to-be regular greeting led to a heated argument between the two when Nabi is reported to have first abused him then took out a knife and stabbing Shoaib in the stomach. TOI reports that Shoaib’s brother who rushed to his brother’s aide was also stabbed.
Brothers Shoaib, 23 and Shahid, 21, residents of Wilson Garden in the city were rushed to a private hospital where they are reported to be out of danger.
A case of attempt to murder to murder under Section 307 of IPC has reportedly be filed against Nabi on Shoaib’s allegation. Reports add that Nabi has been arrested on Tuesday and produced him before court of law.
