When an uninvited quest decides to interrupt! In one of those no-so-forgettable instances, a meeting in Kenya was forced to be adjourned after a pungent fart was leaked by one of the members that resulted in a commotion with one member pointing finger at each other. “Honourable Speaker, one of us has polluted the air and I know who it is,” Gaya said in the assembly. To which the member replied, “I am not the one. I cannot do such a thing in front of my colleagues’’ interrupted Julius Gaya, a member of the County Assembly (MCA).
The accident as per Nairobi Wire happened when a member of the County Assembly (MCA) Juma Awuor was on the floor discussing the lack of shades in markets.
Hoping to calm the air around the blaming-members and the foul fart smell settle, assembly speaker Edwin Kakach everyone to leave the hall and return with some air fresheners.
“Get whatever flavour you will find in any office, whether it’s vanilla or strawberry. ‘We cannot continue sitting in an environment that smells bad,” Kakach was quoted as per BBC Africa.
