In a major faux pas, Naeem ul Haque, the special assistant to Pakistan's PM Imran Khan, on Thursday posted Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar's photo on Twitter and captioned it as “PM Imran Khan 1969â€.

Soon after Haque posted the picture, he was brutally trolled on Twitter.
The main meme target has been Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed, who has been trolled by Pakistani fans ever since Pakistan lost to Team India in their ICC World Cup clash on June 16. Images of the Pakistan captain yawning on the field even as India batsmen were going great guns went viral on social media, leading to severe backlash and trolling.
One fan tweeted the picture of a yawning baby and termed the photo as "Sarfaraz 1987".

Another fan posted a picture of a scene from Bollywood movie Lagaan and captioned the picture as "Steve Smith in 1992".
One Twitter user posted the picture of Pakistan batsmen Mohammad Yousuf and Younis Khan and captioned the post as "Sachin Tendulkar and Vinod Kambli 1982".

Pakistani cricketers are facing strong criticism from both fans and former players after the 89-run defeat to India in the marquee World Cup clash.
Drawing flak after the loss to India, Pakistan skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed has warned his teammates of further backlash at home if they fail to lift their game in the remaining matches of the ongoing World Cup.
With just three points from five games, Pakistan are at the second last position in the tournament table and Sarfaraz has cautioned his teammates to be ready for the wrath of the public back home if the below-par performances continue.
