'The Last Supper' by Italian legend Leonardo da Vinci is one of the most iconic paintings of all time. The 15th century artwork shows the last time Jesus Christ had a meal with his 12 disciples. According to the Gospels, it is during this supper that Jesus announces that 'one of the Apostles will betray him.' Ahead of Easter, an artist recreated the most recognisable painting with a coronavirus twist and the Internet is totally in awe with the creation. The artist, who goes by the Twitter handle @MythAddict posted the new painting on March 26. 'This year's Easter Passover Seder #COVID19  #Easter2020,' he said in the caption while tweeting the recreated painting. So far, it has been retweeted 8.2 K times and garnered 12.4 K likes. (Coronavirus Outbreak Live Updates)

Later on April 1st, an author posted the same painting that broke Twitter. "I don’t know who made this but they deserve an award," said Jon Brown while tweeting the photo. His Twitter bio reads 'Author of More REAL (@IVPbookcentre)  // Staff at @newcomchurch// Half British, Half American // http://beardandbible.com'. At the time of publishing this story, Brown's post was retweeted 56.1K times and it was liked 189.1K times!  Many Twitter users gave their twist to 'The Last Supper' and it was hilarious.

Easter is a Christian festival and is celebrated with great gusto across the globe. It is usually celebrated on the first Sunday after the full moon, and is followed by a 40-day period of fasting called Lent. The festival is also called the ‘Resurrection Sunday' because Jesus rose from the dead on the third day from Good Friday after his crucifixion, considered as a rebirth of Christianity. According to the New Testament of the Bible, Easter is when Jesus was arrested by the Roman authorities because he claimed to be the ''Son of God''. He was then sentenced to death by the Roman emperor by crucifixion. Jesus rose from the dead on the third day from Good Friday after his crucifixion, which marks the occasion of Easter.

Social distancing has become the main weapon in the battle against coronavirus. Several countries have announced stringent lockdowns to impose social distancing. Experts believe that the habit will become the mainstay of society as we know. Meanwhile, the coronavirus pandemic has killed more than 50,000 people worldwide with nearly three-quarters of the deaths in Europe, according to an AFP tally at 1750 GMT Thursday using official figures. A total of 51,364 deaths have been recorded across the world, including 37,709 in Europe, with Italy registering 13,915, followed by Spain with 10,003, France with 5,387 and the United States with 5,316. Since the virus emerged in China in December, 989,281 global infections have been confirmed, more than half of them in Europe, which has 542,077. The United States and Canada have 235,900 cases and 5,427 deaths and Asia has 112,061 cases with 3,998 deaths.
