Giving an excuse that the ‘she’ is menstruating, the man-bride successfully duped his groom into believing that he is actually a woman. A cleric in Uganda, Mohammed Mutumba got the shock of his life when and his 'bride' Swabullah Nabukeera, with whom he had signed a marriage contract in a traditional nikah ceremony two weeks ago was a man instead.

"I was patient and waited for her to be ok," Mohammed was quoted saying as per Daily Nation reports.

The bride’s great disguise was however all exposed when the neighbours alleged that his "wife" jumped over a wall so as to steal their belongings - a television set and clothes.

A case was filed at the police station by the neighbours. As a procedure a female police officer was asked to search the suspect upon which the officer found out that she is a he.

"As is normal practice, a female police officer searched the suspect thoroughly before taking ''her'' to the cells. But, to the shock of the officer, the suspect had stacked clothes in the bra to hoodwink them that they were breasts," Isaac Mugera, Kayunga District Criminal Investigations Officer, said.

Shocked Mutumba was told by the police that his 'wife' is actually a man, identified to be 27-year-old Richard Tumushabe.
