Seahorses with q-tips, turtles with plastic up their noses, whales found with a stomach full of plastic and now a baby chick with a cigarette butt on its tiny mouth, it looks like the animal kingdom is the most affected by the inhumanity of humans. A heart-breaking picture of a mother bird at a beach in Florida feeding her baby chick a cigarette butt is just another painful reminder of the recklessness of humans chaining down the poor creatures as the sufferers.

The heart-breaking picture was shared by one Karen Mason online to her Facebook page on Monday.  “If you smoke, please don’t leave your butts behind,” Mason captioned the post.

Another photo Mason captured shows just the chick on the beach with the cigarette butt still in its mouth.

“This Skimmer chick was offered a cigarette butt by parent. It’s time we cleaned up our beaches and stopped treating them like one giant ash tray,” she wrote in the post, while adding a #nobuttsforbabies hashtag.

In addition to other items humans leave behind on the beach such as plastic bottle caps, straws, plastic grocery bags, food wrappers, cigarette butts according to Fox news as per Ocean Conservatory report mentions that cigarette butts made the top of the 10 trash items most collected from beaches globally.
