As students battle with pressure for the arriving Board exams 2020, a principal of International Indian School - Damman, Saudi Arabia, is winning hearts with his beautiful letter to parents reminding that grades don’t always have to be everything. The letter shared by Facebook user, A Facebook user Faju Farook starts,
‘’The board exams of your children are to start soon, I know you are all very anxious for your child to do well’’.
But, please do remember, amongst the students who will be sitting for the exams there is an artist, who doesn’t need to understand Math.
There is an entrepreneur, who doesn’t care about History or English literature''
If your child does get top marks that’s great! But if she doesn’t, please don’t take away their self-confidence for them. Tell them its OK, it’s just an exam!’’
The letter then ends with a note saying that having a job that people look up do doesn’t always guarantee a happy life. ‘And please, do not think that doctors and engineers are the only happy people in the world’.
