In one of the most sickening cases against animals by humans, heartless poachers can be seen posing with a dead clouded leopard laughing and smiling in Malaysia. The photographs which are now taken down were reportedly to have been brazenly uploaded on Facebook by Max Mantra who took them in the town of Tampin, in the western state of Negeri Sembilan.

Facebook user Siva Nadarajan managed to make screenshots which he posted to a hiking group he is a member of stating that he tried to contact the Department of Wildlife and National Parks Peninsular Malaysia about the incident which was later reshared by World Animal News.

The Neofelis nebulosa is considered a ‘vulnerable’ according to the Red List of Threatened Species with a population of only 10,000 and rapidly decreasing thought to exist.
