Recently a volcano proved spoilsport for tourism of the country as it erupted at Indonesia’s popular destination, Mount Tangkuban Perahu, forcing tourists to flee the area. Now, videos of the volcano throwing up ashes several hundred metres were captured by tourists and residents into the air is going viral.
The country’s National Disaster Mitigation Agency said the area has been closed to tourists. Only less than 100 people were visiting the location when the volcano erupted so the team could evacute the area without any casulty or accident. However, two people suffering breathing difficulties were taken to the hospital, police told 9 News.Â

“The eruption was recorded on the seismogram to have a maximum amplitude of 38 milimeters with a duration of about five minutes and 30 seconds,†The Center for Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation (PVMBG) said in a statement, adding that the volcano was now classed as Level I status, or normal.
Videos of the ashes clouding the sky lokked threatning and took the internet by storm. Truly they depict the magnanimity of natural disasters.
