Google Search For Corona Beer Increases With Coronavirus (Photo Credit: Twitter)
New Delhi :
Handful of confused people think coronavirus is related to corona beer, and no, it is not us saying this, but Google trends itself! On Tuesday, the GoogleTrends Twitter account tweeted that the worldwide search interest for "coronavirus symptoms” had increased by 1,050% compared to the previous before. The hike in confusion also has to do with Google search result itself as when one types “corona” into Google, “corona beer virus” is the second option the search engine shows, driving more confused load into thinking the beer has something to do with the virus.

The bizarre analytics trend was first noticed by BoingBoing who revealed that countries such as America, India, Canada, Australia, Finland, New Zealand and loads of other countries are guilty of thinking there is any connection between the virus and the poor beer.
Speaking of the mix-up, A Wayne State University marketing professor told WWJ NewsRadio that it’s ‘a case of mistaken identity’.
“I think the concern comes out of our new world here where everything can be found at the touch of your fingertips on your mobile device,” Jeffrey Stoltman told the radio station. “Apparently, there’s a very large number of people in a very populated country — India — that sort of started the ball rolling on this and then individuals such as yourself who kind of wondered the same thing.”
As a reminder once again, corona beer has nothing to do with the virus. The novel Coronaviruses were named because of the crown-like spikes on its surface, as for corona beer it is a but a beer best chucked down chilled to beat yourself from some heat.
