In what should be called the rarest of the rare situation, a university student came across a thief that had him leaving dumbfounded. Meet the apologetic thief! It is not every day that you come across a thief who expresses remorse for his/her actions. So when a thief, who had stolen a laptop from the student leaves an apologetic note, the student took to Twitter to show that thieves can be funny too. A Twitter user called Stevie Valentine recently shared an amusing story about how his flatmate's laptop got stolen. But the story got better after which he received an email from the thief apologising for his actions.

The thief took quite a time to explain the actions that drove him to steal. In the mail, he explains that they were poor and needed money. In fact, they even offered to send files that the student might need for their coursework.
After the mail was shared online, the tweet immediately went viral and the Twittersphere had rains of sympathy pouring for the thief's genuine gesture.

So obviously the tweet immediately went viral after listening to such a bizarre story and Twitterati couldn't help but shower love on the thief's genuine gesture.
