Sports correspondent Jane Slater has left netzines aghast after she tweeted that she caught her now ‘ex-boyfriend’ cheating on her through a Fitbit. Like any in-love couple, the duo had also synced up their Fitbits to keep each other motivated until that fateful morning when she saw an unusual ‘spike’ from his fitbit at 4am.
‘’An Ex Boyfriend once got me a Fitbit for Christmas. I loved it. We synched up, motivated each other... didn’t hate it until he was unaccounted for at 4am and his physical activity levels were spiking on the app wish the story wasn’t real’’ she tweeted.
To solidify her suspicions that her boyfriend was indeed cheating on her she clarified on social media that ex-boyfriend hadn't signed up for a membership at Orange Theory Fitness.
Her tweet led to many tweeple sharing their own story tweeting that cheating is never a good experience.
‘Been there. Didn’t find out though Fitbit though. My ex’s physical activity would have only spiked for like 90 seconds so it would have been practically unnoticeable anyway’.
Others however were weary of not rushing to conclusions advising her, ‘Sounds like you jumped to conclusions, Jane. Maybe he was a former three year high school football letterman like me who rises at 4 am every morning to run routes in cleats’.
