Many people have fear of snakes and a South African resident, Fathima Dawood was no different than anyone. She screamed like a baby after seeing a ‘snake’ in the parking lot of a supermarket. But, she was unaware that it was not a snake but something else.
She misidentified a piece of hair extension with a black snake.
Fathima Dawood wrote on Facebook, "I apologize to the old lady in the parking lot at PnP when I screamed like a baby, thinking I had a snake coming after me’’.
"On the other hand if you lost your braided weave, it is in the far left aisle of the PnP parking lot’’, she added. She also explained that it wasn’t a snake but a piece of hair extension that someone had lost in the parking lot.
Many FB users commented on the picture, one of them wrote, ‘’very dangerous snake, somebody should start certifying these braids so that victims are known’’.
Another user wrote, ‘’I encounter these snakes every day when I go for my morning walk always get a big fright’’.
