The hitches surrounding the video game PUBG is getting worse by the day. After parents raising alarming concerns about the addiction to the video game for their children that is causing them to ruin their health, declining school performance and even some states like Jammu and Kashmir putting out a request on a ban for the game, the addiction for PUBG is heading more towards the path of destruction. The boundaries for the addiction of the online game, ‘Player Unknown’s Battleground’, however, took an ugly turn when an 18-year-old boy from Mumbai took his own life.

According to reports the young boy took his own life after his parents being denied a very highly priced smartphone for him to play the video game, PUBG.

Times Now reports that the boy from Kurla’s Nehru Nagar area demanded a smartphone worth Rs. 37,000 to play the video game. His parents, however, limit the spend on the smartphone to Rs 20,000 f reports are to be believed, his parents were ready to spend up to 20,000 which resulted in a huge argument with his parents. Extremely unhappy with his parent’s decision, the boy is said to have hanged himself from the kitchen ceiling of his home.

A case of accidental death has been registered, police are reported to further investigate the case.
