Delhi Assembly Elections 2020 for all 70 seats will be held on February 8. The Delhi polls will witness a triangular fight between the ruling Aam Aadmi Party AAP, Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP), and Congress. Nearly 3-weeks ahead of Delhi Assembly polls, the BJP on Friday released its first list of 57 candidates that included sitting MLA Vijender Gupta, former AAP MLA Kapil Mishra and has 11 SC and four woman candidates. Here’s a look at the list of key candidates from BJP in Delhi.

Vijender Gupta
Senior BJP leader Vijender Gupta is all pitted against AAP’s Rajesh Nama Bansiwala from Rohini constituency. In Delhi state elections 2015, he was one of the three BJP candidates to win and was also the president of Delhi state unit of BJP. Vijender Gupta was appointed the leader of opposition (LoP) in the Delhi assembly on 16 April 2015.

Kapil Mishra
BJP leader Kapil Mishra has been given the ticket from Model town in the upcoming Delhi assembly elections. He is up against AAP’s Akhilesh Pati Tripathi. Kapil Mishra is a former minister in the Arvind Kejriwal government, however, joined the BJP in August last year after an ugly public spat with the Aam Aadmi Party.

Anil Sharma
BJP has fielded Anil Sharma from Delhi’s RK Puram Assembly seat against AAP’s Parmila Tokas. He is a former MLA from RK Puram.

BJP leader Kaushal Mishra is up against AAP’s Abdul Rehman from Delhi’s RK Seelampur Assembly seat.
