Beautiful and talented actress Sridevi has proved the phrase, ‘once an actor always an actor’ with her recently released movie English Vinglish. She started her career in acting at the tender age of 4 and later on acted as an adult in 1970’s. Today she is considered as the first female superstar of Indian cinema. 1. Sadma:
It is very common that you see actors overdoing their characters where they are supposed to play a child or a mentally unstable person, but our Diva undoubtedly excelled even in this role. It’s not easy for a heroine to carry out comical roles convincingly, but when it comes to our beauty nothing is impossible. Sridevi absolutely nailed the character of Seema, the journalist. She tickled our funny bones with her Charlie Chaplin avatar and made us groove to the ‘Hawa Hawai’ number in Mr India. And yes not to forget Anil Kapoor and Sridevi’s steaming hot romance in ‘Kaate nahi katte hai yeh din yeh raat’.
5. English Vinglish:
When a superstar like Sridevi is making a comeback, you can’t expect anything short of an extraordinary film and needless to say the beautiful mommy didn’t disappoint us. With English Vinglish we were once again in love with Sridevi. The industry is in a stage where many new comers are ruling on top and so the yesteryear actresses who are making a comeback want to compete with this newbies by taking up young and glamorous roles. But Sridevi being the ultimate Queen took up the challenge and went for a role that was completely opposite of what her contemporaries did and came out with flying colors.
