The October 11 episode of KBC 9 was a special one as the day marked the 75th birthday of Bollywood legend and show’s host Amitabh Bachchan. The show was filled with love and nostalgia. The episode was indeed quite special as the Shahenshah celebrated his 75th birthday. As soon as Big B welcomed the television audience to the show, the people sitting in the studio sang a birthday song for the megastar. The ‘Deewar’ actor was more than happy to receive the love and affection.

Big B started the game show with rollover contestant from last episode, Dr. Sonali Reddy. Reddy commenced the game from the fourth question as she had answered the three question in Tuesday’s episode. She took home a cash prize of Rs. 3,60,000.

Sonali and Amitabh had a gala time on the latter’s birthday episode. While talking about Sonali’s personal experience, Big B also told about the time when he was injured during the shoot of Coolie. The ‘Agneepath’ actor narrated about the time when his son Abhishek was told by a student that his father is going to die.

Amitabh added that Abhishek was quite young that time and thus was extremely disturbed. He said that he and Jaya Bachchan had to reassure him that nothing will happen. Indeed, this particular moment in the show brought tears in our eyes.

The makers of the show had a special surprise planned for the mega-star. A snippet was shown on the screen which took the viewers down the memory lane. The video was from his school Sherwood College in Nainital. The administrator said that Amitabh’s batch played a crucial part in the construction of the swimming pool in the college. The icing on the cake was when the students and teachers from the school sang a happy birthday song for the megastar. They also cut a cake to mark the celebration of Big B’s birthday. Indeed it was a very special and memorable episode not only for Amitabh Bachchan but for all his fans from all across the world.
