It has been almost a year that Baahubali was released in India and the beginning of the film got amazing hit. But according to sources, the second part of SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus “Baahubali” will hit theatres on April 28, 2017. Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar, who distributed the Hindi version of the first part, announced that his Dharma Productions will also distribute “Baahubali - The Conclusion” along with AA films. While the first film was named Baahubali – The Beginning the second film has been named Baahubali - The Conclusion. Check some amazing facts about India’s biggest motion picture:
Prabhas, who was in the lead role in ‘Baahubali’, signed no other films for almost three years. He was getting physically ready for the fighting styles, war scenes. His last film was ‘Mirchi’ in 2013, after which he was busy shooting for the ‘Baahubali’ franchise.
Director SS Rajamouli is a well-known perfectionist left no stone unturned for the Water fall sequence. The single Water fall scene was shot for 109 days, and actor Prabhas learned rock climbing in advance.
The gigantic, 100-feet statue of Rana Daggubati’s character Bhalladeva was no visual effects. The Bhalladeva statue actually weighed over 8000kg and it required four cranes to set it at the proper position. Just for erecting the statue it took twelve days.
The first film Baahubali – The Beginning was smoothly packaged with special effects, which not only appeared as reality but also pleased the viewers eye. The film was able to grab many records, not just in terms of box office but also entered Guinness Book of World Record for largest poster ever which was nearly 50,000 square feet.
