After the sudden demise of Bollywood actor Inder Kumar, the south Indian film industry got a grave shock after Kannada actor Dhruv Sharma passed away due to multiple organ failure leading to cardiac arrest on Tuesday. According to the media reports, the actor, who was fit as a fiddle until Saturday was rushed to the hospital after he collapsed at his residence on Saturday. While Dhruv was under medical care, the doctors declared him dead on August 1. He is survived by his parents, his wife and two daughters. While the entire showbiz industry is mourning the death of the renowned actor, we bring you some lesser known facts about Dhruv:

Dhruv, who hails from a businessman family, got his first appreciation in the industry for his performance in 2006 release 'Snehanjali'.

According to the media reports, 'Snehanjali' was also registered in Guinness Book of Records and the Limca Book of Records for featuring a speech and hearing-impaired person in the lead role.

Sharma was one of the few Indian actors who had a speech and hearing impairment. Interestingly, he never let his disability become a hurdle for him and went on to conquer it in commendable manner.

Dhruv was not just a great actor, but was equally talented in cricket as well. He got his share of fame with his performances in the Celebrity Cricket League where Dhruv won the championship twice under the captaincy of actor Kichcha Sudeep.

While the late actor had represented Katanataka team in CCL for all the six seasons, Dhruv had also represented India in Deaf Cricket World Cup in 2005.
