Maruthur Gopalan Ramachandran or MGR - One of the most successful celebrities, MGR transited into the world of politics after having a successful acting career. He was also a director and a producer. He joined politics as a member of DMK and later formed his own party ADMK.

Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao or NTR

Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao or NTR – He was popularly known for playing the role of Hindu gods in the mythological era of Telugu cinema. He was to Andhra Pradesh what MGR was to Tamil Nadu. He served as Chief Minister thrice for the state of Andhra Pradesh.

Jayaram Jayalalitha – As we mentioned earlier as well, Jayalalitha who recently passed away in December was one of the most talked about celebrates who had a successful political career. She was popularly known as Amma and had served as Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu for the record six time.

Chiranjeevi – He entered into politics in the year 2008 after forming party ‘Praja Rajyam Party’. He became Union Minister of the State in 2012 and his term ends in the year 2018. He is also a receiver of third highest civilian award Padma Bhushan.
