Bollywood films enjoy a massive fan following in India. Every Friday, a film hits the silver screens and its fate is decided by the box office numbers. The industry is raising the bar with every passing year as the Rs 300 crore club has become the next big thing in tinsel town. However, there are very few films which are able to achieve the feat of collecting Rs 300 crore at the box office. Baahubali 2: The Conclusion smashed all box office records in 2017 and went on to become the highest grossing Indian film till date. The S. S. Rajamouli featured Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Ramya Krishnan and Sathyaraj in key roles.

Aamir Khan starrer Dangal took the box office by a storm when it was released on December 21, 2016. The Nitesh Tiwari directorial which is loosely based on the life of Mahavir Singh Phogat is the highest grossing Bollywood movie of all times.

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif ended 2017 on a high note for Bollywood with their action thriller-Tiger Zinda Hai. The Ali Abbas Zafar directorial is the sequel to Ek Tha Tiger which was released in 2012. The Yash Raj Films production surpassed all expectations and raked in big moolah at the box office.

Aamir Khan and Anushka Sharma’s film PK which hit the silver screens on December 19, 2014 is one of the few films to enter the coveted Rs 300 crore club. The Rajkumar Hirani directorial beautifully portrayed the story of an alien who came to Earth on a research mission.

Salman Khan is known as the ‘King of Box Office’ for a reason. The Wanted actor delivered another blockbuster in the form of Bajrangi Bhaijaan which was released on July 17, 2015. The masala entertainer was a runaway hit and minted over Rs 300 crore club. The Kabir Khan directorial also featured Kareena Kapoor Khan, Om Puri and Harshaali Malhotra in key roles.

Salman Khan’s another film Sultan set the box office on fire when it hit the cinema theatres in 2016. The Ali Abbas Zafar directorial featured Anushka Sharma opposite the Bollywood superstar. The film is the sixth highest grossing Indian film of all times.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Padmaavat hit the silver screens on January 25, 2018. The epic drama which featured Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor in lead roles is the latest entrant in the Rs 300 crore club.
