Not just a comedian Kapil Sharma is a gifted singer as well. He participated in ZEE TV's music reality show Star Ya Rockstar. Determined to enter the world of showbiz, Kapils' vocals impressed judges Anu Malik and Alisha Chinai making him the runner-up of the competition.

On Koffee With Karan, Kapil confessed the had once gatecrashed a party hosted by Shah Rukh for a cousin. They were however, recieved with warm welcome and treated with much love.
