Saif Ali Khan began his career in 1993 with Yash Chopra’s Parampara. Inspite of beinga star kid, his initial bath to starom was bumpy with back to back flops. Critics had already claimed that his ‘career was over’. Saif Ali Khan on the contrary constatly reinventedc himself with diverse roles. From playing a lover boy in films like Kal Ho Naa Ho and Hum Tum to getting into the skin of his character in Vishal Bhardwaj’s Omkara, Saif Ali Khan has time and again managed to surprise us. Today he bosts of ambitious projects like Laal Kaptaan, Jawani Janeman and Tanaji to name a few. The actor has also been awarded several times for his noteworthy performances. Saif Ali Khan was felicitated with the Padma Shri, India's fourth highest civilian award in 2010. The actor was accused of buying a Padma Shri by a troll and he won hearts with his humble response. During his appearance on Arbaaz Khan's chat show, Saif said, "I'm afraid that is not possible. It's a bit beyond me to bribe the Indian government. You will have to ask more senior people," Saif said, adding that he considered returning it, because he felt that were other contenders who were much more deserving than him.

Saif has won a National Film Award for Best Actor for Hum Tum opposite Rani Mukherjee
