Teacher’s Day is celebrated evry year on september to reprise the beautifull bond heald by students and teachers. Bollywood has made an array of movies – some celebrating the bond between teachers and students, and others portraying the sacrifices of teachers for their students. While we can’t go back to school or college, we can definitely relish the good old times with some of the best mentors Bollywood had on this Teachers’ Day.

Nagesh Kuknoor’s film, which received the National Award in 2005, is another beautiful story of an aspiring cricketer and his coach. Lack of funds leads Iqbal (Shreyas Talpade) who is deaf and mute, to this former cricketer and now raging alcoholic, Mohit (Naseerudin Shah) for training. The film is all about the struggles of a small town boy and how this teacher-student duo overcomes every obstacle to reach to their ultimate goal.

Rani Mukerji's 2018 release was a classic example of how teachers selflessly try to look out for their students and what's best for them. We saw Rani play the role of a teacher who is living with Tourette's syndrome and that doesn't stop her from wanting to be a teacher. When she gets a chance to teach a bunch of misfits, she makes the best of this opportunity and disciplines them.
