Fender Jimi Hendrix Monterey Stratocaster Custom Shop- No guitar fanatic ever says no to Jimi Hendrix’s Stratocaster! This coveted guitar was replicated in one of the Fender Custom Shop’s limited replica run. A total of just over 210 of these guitars were produced. In 2003, John appeared in the Late Night with Conan O’ Brien with Buddy Guy and Double Trouble. The guitar was also seen at the 46th Annual Grammy Awards and on his various 2004 tour.

Vinetto Legato- Vinetto Legato was originally built by Vince Cunetto in the mid 90’s when working with Fender. And as far as the records show, John Mayer was once seen with this guitar at the PNC Arts Center on August 28, 2003 in New Jersey. His guitar featured a sunburst finish, rosewood fretboard, 6-saddle Telecaster-style bridge, and a white pickguard.

Fender Stratocaster Custom Shop (Stripe)- When it comes to guitar houses, Fender is undoubtedly John’s favourite pick. In the 2000’s John had a custom made from the Fender custom shop that had a more John Mayer finish. With an Inca silver, featuring a red stripe spanning from the area bellow the bridge all the way to the bottom edge of the body this Fender Stratocaster stripe was used by John in the 2000’s. This guitar was also used in his music video ’Bigger than My Body’ ’from the 2003 album Heavier Things.

Fender Stratocaster Stevie Ray Vaughan Signature #2- Another of John’s guitar included the signature model electric guitar of the American guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan. In 2003, in one of the live performances he was seen with this guitar at the Music Max in Australia but it is also likely that he owned the guitar for at least couple of months back, and used it during the 2003 US tour.

Novax Expression- Designed with a feature for better intonation such as the lower pitch strings shorter and the nut angled and the bass strings longer, the design did work. This Novax Expression featured in some of his son sand album. This baby of John Mayer even featured as the cover of his album ‘Squares’ and was also used for his live performances such as ‘Neon’ and in the studio on the song “Room for Squares”.
