Karwa Chauth in Bollywood movies

Karwa Chauth or Karva Chauth is a Hindu festival which will be celebrated on October 8 this year. On this day, married woman keep a fast in which they do not take food and water from sunrise to moonrise.They observe nirjala vrat for the safety and well being of their husband. In this festival, married women observe Karva Chauth break the fast only after offering prayer to the moon. Here is the list of Bollywood movies in which sequence of Karwa Chauth has filmed.

Aditya Chopra's directorial debut Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge has also depicted the Karwa Chauth festival in which Simran (Kajol) observed fast for Raj (Shah Rukh Khan).

Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam has also shown Aishwarya Rai and Salman khan celebrating Karwa Chauth on Chand Chupa Badal main song. In the movie, Aishwarya Rai fasting for her reel lover Salman Khan and not her husband Ajay Devgn.
