The 66th National Film Awards were announced on Friday by Rahul Rawail (head of Jury for feature films). Many movies won multiple awards while some regional films also clinched the prize including Gujarati film Hellaro won Best Feature Film. So, here is the complete list of winners of National Film Awards in 2019.

Best Action

Best Action: The first instalment of the Kannada period action film ‘KGF’ won the National Award for the Best Action.

Best Choreography

Best Choreography: Jyoti D Tommar bagged the National Film Awards for Padmaavat song 'Ghoomar'.

Best Music Director

Best Music Director: Sanjay Leela Bhansali clinched National Film Award of Best Music Director for Padmaavat. This is his fifth National Film Award and the first as the Best Music Director.

Best Sound Design

Best Sound Designer: URI received the National Film Award for the Best Sound Design.

Best Adapted Screenplay

Best Adapted Screenplay: Ayushmann Khurrana-Radhika Apte starrer Andhadhun won the Best Adapted Screenplay in the 66th National Film Award.

Best Male Playback Singer: Arijit Singh won his first National Film Award for Padmaavat’s song 'Binte Dil'

Best Supporting Actress

Best Supporting Actress: Surekha Sikri won the National Film Award for the Best Supporting Actress for ‘Badhaai Ho’

Best Film on Social Issues: Akshay Kumar-Radhika Apte-Sonam Kapoor starrer ‘Padman’ won the National Film Award for the Best Film on Social Issues.

Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment

Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment: ‘Badhaai Ho’ won the Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment in the 66th National Film Award.

Best Actor

Best Actor: Ayushmann Khurrana for Andhadhun and Vicky Kaushal for URI share the National Film Award for the Best Actor.

Best Actress - Keerthy Suresh won the National Film Award for Best Actress in Mahanati (Telugu)

Best Hindi Film: Andhadhun managed to secure the Best Hindi Film prize in the National Film Awards 2019.
