The 66th National Film Awards were announced on Friday by Rahul Rawail (head of Jury for feature films). Many movies won multiple awards while some regional films also clinched the prize including Gujarati film Hellaro won Best Feature Film. Best Action: The first instalment of the Kannada period action film ‘KGF’ won the National Award for the Best Action.

Best Choreography: Jyoti D Tommar bagged the National Film Awards for Padmaavat song 'Ghoomar'.
Best Music Director
Best Music Director: Sanjay Leela Bhansali clinched National Film Award of Best Music Director for Padmaavat. This is his fifth National Film Award and the first as the Best Music Director.

Best Sound Designer: URI received the National Film Award for the Best Sound Design.
Best Adapted Screenplay
Best Adapted Screenplay: Ayushmann Khurrana-Radhika Apte starrer Andhadhun won the Best Adapted Screenplay in the 66th National Film Award.
