TRP ratings week 34 From Kumkum Bhagya to Khatron Ke Khiladi here is the list of top ten shows

The TRP ratings for week 34 are finally out. There hasn't been much changes in terms of numbers. Colors continues to remain the number one channel followed by Star Plus and Zee Tv at number two and three respectively. Sony SAB which was sitting comfortably at the number four position has been overtaken by sibling channel Sony Entertainment Television. As a result of this Sony SAB has been pushed to number five. Life OK which went off air last week remained at number six in week 34. Let's see how week 34 (August 19-August 25) turned out to be for our daily soaps and reality shows. So here is the list of top ten shows on Indian television for week 34. (Note- Only the ratings for urban areas have been considered as rural ratings contain many off-air shows )

'Chandrakanta — Ek Mayavi Prem Gaatha' on Colors continued to remain at number ten this week as well. The fantasy show produced by television queen Ekta Kapoor fetched 2.1 TRPs. The show stars Madhurima Tuli and Vishal Aditya Singh as the main leads. Popular television vamp Urvashi Dholakia plays the role of the main antagonist.

Star Plus' popular reality show 'Dance Plus 3' saw a drop in both numbers and ranking. The show which secured eighth position last week has been pushed to ninth position in week 34. The dance based show scored 2.3 TRPs in this week. Bollywood choreographer and director Remo D'Souza is the 'Super Judge' on the weekend show.

'Kundali Bhagya' which was sitting comfortably at fourth position last week saw a massive fall this week. The Zee Tv show fetched 2.3 TRPs and is placed at eight position in this latest ratings. Shraddha Arya, Dheeraj Dhoopor, Anjum Fakih and Manit Joura play the main roles in the daily soap.

‘Shakti-Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki' has also seen a drop in both in ratings and ranking. However, compared to Kundali Bhagya the fall is isn't a massive one. The popular show managed to rake in 2.4 TRPs this week as compared to 2.5 ratings last week. Vivian Dsena and Rubina Dilaik play the respective characters of Harman and Saumya in the daily soap. The Rashmi Sharma produced show is leading the 8PM slot for quite some time.

Many shows have not been able to hold their numbers this week. 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' which was placed at number three last week with 2.7 TRPs is one of them. The rib ticking show fetched 2.5 TRPs this week and is at sixth postion. Dilip Joshi and Disha Vakani play the respective characters of Jethalal and Daya in the popular show. The Sony SAB show has been slot for many weeks now.

Week 34 proved to be a successful affair for 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' in terms of ratings. The Star Plus saw an increase in ratings from 2.4 to 2.6 this week and secured fifth position. The increase in TRPs helped the show to enter the list of top five shows this week. This is not all, as Yeh Rishta also managed to snatch the slot leadership from Kundali Bhagya. Mohsin Khan and Shivangi Joshi play the main protagonists in the show produced by Rajan Shahi.

If there is one show which saw a huge rise in ratings this week, then is none other than 'Mahakali - Anth Hi Aarambh Hai'. The Colors' show managed to gain 2.6 TRPs compared to 2.3 TRPs last week. The rise in ratings allowed the show to secure fourth position in the list of top ten shows. The weekend show has proved to be one of the most successful launches this year. Pooja Sharma plays the titular role of 'Mahakali' and 'Parvati' in the show. The role of 'Mahadev' is played by popular television actor Saurabh Raj Jain.

'Kumkum Bhagya' has been part of the top ten shows list for many weeks now. This week it did it even better, as it entered the list of top three shows across Indian television. The Zee Tv show fetched 2.7 TRPs in week 34, an increase of 0.1 from last week. None of the shows at 9PM slot have been able to dethrone the Sriti Jha and Shabbir Ahluwalia starrer show from its slot leadership. The show has completed more than 900 episodes and is still going strong.

'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs' couldn't reclaim the numero uno spot this week and remained at second position. The popular singing reality show saw a drop of 0.2 points and fetched 3 TRPs this week. The weekend show boasts of talented child singers who are creating waves across the country with their terrific performances. Himesh Reshamiya, Neha Kakkar and Javed Ali are the three judges on the show.

'Khatron Ke Khiladi-Pain In Spain' has managed to win the love of audiences in week 34 as well and maintained its leadership. The Rohit Shetty hosted show is the number one show across all channels on Indian television with 3.3 TRPs. The combo of thrilling stunts and an exciting mix of contestants has made the show 'a must watch'. The charm and hosting of Rohit Shetty needs to be mentioned as well.
