The Indian Air Force will mark its 87th year of inception on October 8. The Indian Air Force was officially established on 8 October 1932. It is the fourth largest air force in the world with a strength of approximately 170,000 personnel and 2,100 aircraft. It has conducted important operations like Operation Meghdoot in 1984, Operation Safed Sagar in 1999, Operation Spice in 2019, it has put itself in the league of superpowers.
