Citizenship Law Protests Sweep India, Several Detained

Scores of protestors were detained across the country when they hit streets to protest the Citizenship Amendment Act in defiance of the prohibitory orders imposed at various locations. As protests intensified on Thursday, the Delhi Police wrote to the cell phone operators including Airtel, Jio, MTNL, BSNL, and Vodafone Idea to stop all communication services in many parts of the national capital.
