Modi Birthday: From Sewa Saptah To Cake Cutting - How India Prepares For D-Day

As Prime Minister Narendra Modi will turn 69 on Tuesday, September 17, netizens across India geared up to join in the celebration in their own unique way. While the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched a Sewa Saptah to celebrate the 69th birthday of their beloved leader, party workers and common men lit earthen lamps, cut cakes at different parts of the country to extend greetings. An exhibition has also been inaugurated at the BJP headquarters, showcasing the key achievements by Prime Minister Modi during his tenure since 2014. On Sunday, a bike rally was flagged off from Delhi to Vadnagar to spread the prime minister's social messages related to Swachh Bharat and shunning single-use plastic. To make the celebration even bigger, Modi will also visit the Sardar Sarovar Dam in his home state Gujarat and attend the 'Namami Devi Narmade Mahotsav', organised by Vijay Rupani government.
