Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday turned 69. To celebrate his birthday, Modi visited his mother Hiraben at her residence in Gujarat's Gandhinagar. On the occasion, the prime minister touched the feet of his mother to seek her blessings, a tradition we have been seeing at least for the last 6 years. He also had a traditional Gujarati lunch with her.

Clad in white kurta-pajama and a saffron Nehru jacket, Modi visited her mother Hiraben at her Gandhinagar residence to seek her blessings. Despite his busy schedule, Modi visits his mother every year on his birthday and spend time with her.

The prime minister had a special lunch with mother Hiraben on the ocassion of his 69th birthday. Hiraben, 98, lives with his younger son Pankaj Modi in Raisin village.
