One of the world’s first major cities to celebrate the start of 2015 was Sydney, Australia.

In Sydney spectacular fireworks were on display.

Sydney kicks off New Year celebrations with seven tonnes of fireworks.

Nearly 1.5 million spectators were treated to a 12-minute display in Sydney.

The shimmering gold and silver palm trees held everyone's breadth.

In London, it was a ticket-only affair with audience paying £10 to watch the fireworks from the banks of the Thames.
