In Pictures: On Modi's turf Varanasi, Priyanka Gandhi's mega 'show of strength' gathers crowd

With just four days to go for the seventh and final phase of Lok Sabha elections, Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, accompanied with party candidate Ajay Rai and Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, on Wednesday took out a roadshow in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's parliamentary constituency Varanasi. People in large number gathered outside the Banaras Hindu University as the younger Gandhi started her mega roadshow by garlanding the statue of Madan Mohan Malviya at the gates of the varsity. The two-hour-long roadshow, which comes as a big show of Congress' strength in the politically crucial Varanasi, concluded at Kashi Vishwanath Temple. Post her roadshow, Gandhi offered prayers, first at the Kashi Vishwanath temple and then at the Kaal Bhairav temple in Kotwali area of the town. Varanasi, along with 12 other Lok Sabha constituencies in eastern Uttar Pradesh, will go to polls in the last leg of General Elections on Sunday, May 19.
