After registering a thumping victory in the Lok Sabha elections 2019, Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with his council of ministers took oath in national capital on Thursday. During the oath-taking ceremony, as many as 24 cabinet ministers, 9 Minister of State Independent Charge (MoS) and 24 Minister of State (MoS) were sworn-in along with PM Modi. President Ram Nath Kovind administered the oath of office to all the ministers. In PM Modi’s cabinet, six women ministers including Smriti Irani, Harsimrat Kaur Badal, Nirmala Sitharaman, Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti, Renuka Singh Saruta and Debasree Chaudhuri were sworn-in. Nirmala Sitharaman took oath along with a new council of ministers in PM Modi’s cabinet. In 2014, she was inducted into Narendra Modi's cabinet as a junior minister and in June 2014, she elected as a Rajya Sabha Member from Andhra Pradesh.
