With Shatrughan Sinha, Tejashwi Yadav by his side, Rahul Gandhi holds mega roadshow in Patna

With the seventh and final phase of Lok Sabha elections just three days away, political heavyweights from across party lines have further intensified their campaigning across the country. Amid this high-voltage political campaigning, Congress president Rahul Gandhi, accompanied by party candidate Shatrughan Sinha and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, took out a roadshow in Bihar's capital city Patna on Thursday. Gandhi's helicopter landed at the Moin-ul-Haq Stadium in Rajendra Nagar area from where he moved in a procession, perched atop an open roof vehicle with Sinha, Yadav and other leaders by his side. Slogans calling Rahul Gandhi the next prime minister reverberated as the roadshow moved at a snail pace towards Kadam Kuan. As the rally concluded, Yadav raised anti-Modi slogans, saying '23 May Bhajpaa gayee' (BJP will be gone on May 23). He also took potshots at Chief Minister Nitish Kumar while chanting 'paltu chacha bhagao Bihar bachao' (save Bihar by driving away uncle turncoat) slogans against him. Sinha, the 72-year-old actor-turned-politician, is locked in an intense contest with Union minister and BJP candidate Ravishankar Prasad at Patna Sahib seat, that will witness polling in the last phase of Lok Sabha elections on May 19.
