PM Narendra Modi temple visit during foreign tours
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is known for visiting many countries in order to boost bilateral relations and also sell Indian government's 'Make in India' initiative. The foreign visits are being used by him to cement India's standing in the world and solidify relations with other countries. In his tenure, Narendra Modi has 69 foreign visits to his credit, which also includes the recent Myanmar visit. He has received criticism and plaudits for his frequent visits. PM Modi at Ananda Temple in Bagan
PM Narendra Modi who is currently on a visit to Myanmar, paid respect at Ananda Temple in Bagan. The Buddhist temple was built in early 12th century and is considered to be the most historical temple in Myanmar.
Narendra Modi at Gangaramaya Buddhist temple in Colombo
During a two-day trip to Sri Lanka, Narendra Modi visited Gangaramaya Buddhist temple in Colombo. He participated in a lamp lighting ceremony at one of the oldest Buddhist temples in the island country.
PM Narendra Modi visited Pagoda temple at Hanoi in Vietnam
Narendra Modi visited Vietnam in September 2016 to deepen the ties between the two countries. Â He not only paid respect at the Pagoda temple in Hanoi, but also addressed the Buddhist monks and invited them to visit India.
Narendra Modi at Kinkaku-ji temple in Japan
Narendra Modi went on a tour to Japan in August 2014. There he visited two of the ancient and historic temples-Toji and Kinkaku-ji. Modi offered his prayers and also mingled with people down there.
