Born on September 17, 1950, into a low-caste family running a small business, Modi used to help his father at his tea stall.

Narendra Modi joined right-wing Hindu Nationalist group RSS at the early age of 8. He became the in-charge of ABVP and a “Sangh Pracharak” before joining the BJP in 1985.

He was very fascinated with Sadhus and ran away from his home after school education. After travelling visiting many places including Ramkrishna Ashram of Belur, he finally reached the Himalayas and stayed with Sadhus for few months.
